Shokidoki wins mini-Shogi at ICGA 2013 Computer Olympiad

The WinBoard engine Shokidoki for mini-, Judkins and regular Shogi, managed to win gold medal in the mini-Shogi competition of the 2013 ICGA Computer Olympiad in Yokohama, Japan. It finished above the program 1/128 Rigan, which had been dominating the computer mini-Shogi scene for the past four years, winning the ICGA event in 2010, and the UEC Cup in 2010, 2011 and 2012. (There is some confusion on the name of this program, which is sometimes translated as Clair 1/128 or Clairvoyant 1/128.)

The 2013 ICGA tournament had 8 participants, and was played as a round-robin. Shokidoki won all its 7 games. The game against 1/128 Rigan was won in 49 (half-)moves.
